LHS Concert Band

LHS Concert Band is composed of students in grades 6-12 by audition only. Each year, the band presents two concerts; the Winter Concert in December and the Spring Concert in May. These are usually based on a theme. Students are involved in the music selection process, decorating and adding special "extras" to make the concert exceptional. The Pep Band includes all members of the concert band and performs at home games. It also travels to District and Regional Tournaments. During the 2000-2001 school year the LHS Pep Band will be the featured "Band of the Day" at the State "B" State Football Playoffs in Vermillion! And in the spring of 2005, we traveled to the State Girls A Basketball Tournament to be the band of the day.

Other activities also include: Small Group Contest, large Group Contest and area festivals.
