MUSIC BOOSTERS CARNIVAL
At Langford High School, we are very fortunate to have a Music Boosters organization which supports all of our efforts. Through a major fund raising event, the Music Boosters Carnival, we are able to purchase needed equipment, go on educational trips and supplement our Marching Band program. Each class is responsible for selling tickets (votes) for their Duke and Duchess candidates. A portion of money raised from the sale of these tickets is directly given to the class' account, to be used for float building, dances, etc.
Each year, the Music Boosters organization gives a good portion of the proceeds from the carnival to the LHS Music Department to be used for improving our music program.
In October, 2001, the students in grades 9-12 set a record by selling over 14,000 tickets! That amounts to over $3,500!!!
